I wonder what triggers a memory. Not what lies outside, but what is inside. Who decides which and what parts of a piece of memory to be triggered given an event? What is that thing inside you that tells you, now, look now, you've got to remember this. Not anything else, but this. Now, this is what's going to matter. Now, think of this. Think of me. Think of all the things that have happened and what brought you here. To this point, this state of mind, to this thought. Think of me thinking of you thinking about these thoughts. And then now, think of all the people who said that time heals all wounds. Think of them. And think of how they can never be more wrong than this.
